Why choose Commslogic?

Commslogic uses Motorolla Canopy to deliver fixed wireless broadband and Voip to the Gold Coast and Logan Shire region. We install a small aerial on your roof (looks like a tv aerial) and run cat 5 cable down the wall to a what looks like a phone socket. See demo. Your computer/router then plugs directly into this wall socket.

What sets us apart from the other broadband suppliers?

In order to answer this I have compiled a list of common Q & A.

Q. Do I have to sign up to a contract?

A. Most of our plans are contract free and are on a month to month basis.

Q. What are the download limits on your plans.

A. We do not have any. We are completely unlimited and we do not shape or slow you down. There are no catches.

Q. What about peer to peer file sharing? (Limewire/Bittorrent.)

A. Your speed is limited until after midnight until 7 am so you do not disturb other users.

Q. How much does it cost to get installed.

A. The modem is built into the aerial on the roof. The hardware access fee is $99. For another $32 we will supply you with a four port router with Voip built in. If you recall, another $6 per month gets you a voip phone line on our plans.

Q. How does Voip work?

A. Voice over internet protocol uses the internet to make cheaper calls. If you obtain a router your phone number is programmed into the router and you plug in your normal telephone into the router. Because the router and broadband are always on, you can make and receive calls even when your computer is switched off. The quality is better than a mobile phone.

Q. I can do Voip with other broadband companies. Why should I go with Commslogic.

A. Yes you could but then you are still paying nearly $40 per month for a phone line that you do not need.

Q. What happens during a power failure.

A. Revert to your mobile phone.

Q. I make a lot of STD calls. Will I be better off with Voip?

A. It depends on the time factor as we charge 9-12 cents per min. However there are other options for either free or 10 cent untimed calls nationally. You must also remember you are over three hundred dollars better off by dumping a tradition phone line rental.

Q. I use telstra 101 services and call forwarding. Can you offer me the same services.

A. Yes and more. We use ASTERIX as a virtual PABX SYSTEM. It offers more services for free.

Q. I heard you do not support fax.

A. We have nearly completed our fax service and video streaming is on the way.

Q. I am still not sure about this Voip. How can I test it.

A. Download Skype for free and try the software version of voip. I suggest you try our bundle plan for an extra $6 and try it for yourself. There is no contract so you can always cancel it.

Q. I heard wireless is not secure.

A. Our system uses strong encryption that can not be hacked or detected by normal means.

Q. I heard bad weather affects wireless.

A. Our system does not get effected by bad weather like satelite does.

Q. Will I slow down in peak times like I do with my current provider.

A. We have a contention ratio of 20 to 1. Your current provider is more like 700-1.

Q. How do you charge me?

A. We bill either via credit card or by Bpay. You receive an electronic account via email or via you account log on.

Q. Telstra charged me a late fee for paying my account late.

A. We do not charge late fees.

Q. If I change my speed/plan what is the fee.

A. We do not charge for plan changes.

Q. Is there a fee for disconnection?

A. If you are not on a contract then there is no fee. If you are on a 12 mth contract then the fee is pro rated on the $245 installation fee we paid to to another company to install your service.

Q. What happens once I sign up.

A. Downer engineering (1800 007 466) calls you to arrange an install date. The installation takes about an hour. If they can not get a signal your money will be promptly refunded.

Q. I have other questions.

A. Please feel free to email me at brettwilliams2+blogg@gmail.com or phone 0434 957 459
